2007 Costume The Cities.   1620 Central Ave NE Minneapolis, MN 55413
Costume The Cities is truly a gem in the Twin Cities creative community.  Located about one mile north of downtown Minneapolis, deep within the Central Business Center Building, it is well worth seeing!  Relatively modest in size, it possesses one of the most interesting clothing collections around.

Here is one of the region’s most impressive collections of vintage rental clothing.  It is the result of nearly 40 years of saving and preserving bits of history, one piece at a time.  The roots of the collection stem from a flea market incident when a lady purchased a beautiful velvet gown and commented on what nice doll clothes she could make from it.  That comment was the realization and motivation of the need to conserve these wonderful items and also make them available to the public.

The collection is further augmented by the creative design and sewing skills of the business owner, Rae Ann Annala.  With the combination of the vintage and the custom designed pieces, Costume The Cities is able to dress you in an outfit reminiscent of most any historical period.

Some of the more notable events we have costumed and worked for include community and school productions, school history days, dress up birthday parties, drag queens, historic re-enactment, corporate events, birthdays, Quinceañera celebrations, the list is almost endless.  And we can help to make your event memorable also.
